On July 16th we celebrated the birthday of the saintly Mother Frances Xavier Cabrini. She led a life of sacrifice, unwavering commitment, and extraordinary strength, standing against all odds to serve and protect those most in need.
This past week, the Immigrant Enclave Map was released. Unfortunately, it failed to include many of the iconic neighborhoods that reflect the rich diversity, history, and contributions of the immigrant communities that helped build New York City.
On this 250th anniversary of our great nation, we give thanks to the brave and discerning men and women who, endowed by the Creator, embraced certain unalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness in search of an enlightened, more perfect Union.
